Mochi ("we", "our", or "the app") is a breathing and mindfulness application. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum data needed to provide the app experience:

• Account information - Email address and display name, used for authentication and personalizing your profile. Collected via Firebase Authentication.
• Usage data - Breathing session records (exercise type, duration, date) and streak counts, stored in Firebase Firestore to sync your progress across devices.
• Mood check-ins - Optional post-session mood selections, stored alongside session records.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

• Location data
• Contacts or phone number
• Photos, camera, or microphone access
• Device identifiers for tracking
• Health or biometric data

3. How We Use Your Data

• To authenticate your account and keep it secure
• To save and display your breathing session history and streaks
• To personalize your in-app experience (display name, goals)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase Authentication - For account sign-in (email/password and Google Sign-In). Firebase Privacy Policy
• Firebase Firestore - For storing session data and user profiles. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. We use Firebase security rules to ensure users can only access their own data.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time from within the app's Settings screen. Upon deletion, all your personal data will be permanently removed from our servers.

7. Children's Privacy

Mochi is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
